Stir Fry Green Beans
Green beans never tasted so exciting! Fast, easy and healthy! Whats not to like? I usually grab a bag or two of the pre-washed green beans that the grocery store carried in their produce section. You can also use canned or frozen in a pinch. I prefer Sesame Oil (look for toasted sesame oil in the Asian section for more of a nutty flavor), but you can use any oil you prefer. Sometimes I chop up some onions and garlic for this and other times I just sauté beans with a little oil and #68 Szechuan Style sauce. Our Szechuan Style sauce has a bit of onion and garlic already in it. So you really do not need to include additional unless you are a onion and garlic addicts like our family! You can also sprinkle them with sesame seeds or crushed peanuts for added flavor!
Candied Bacon
This recipe is so easy! And such a yummy treat to bring to a party or serve as an appetizer. Thick cut bacon works best! Be prepared to make a second batch because your family and friends will gobble thee candied bacon strips up so fast you will not know what happened! Helpful tips: Line baking sheet with tin foil or parchment paper for ease of clean up. Use a wire rack to elevate bacon so it is not wallowing in the melted bacon fat. It will crips much nicer if a rack is used.
Vegan Dark Chocolate Truffles with #61 or #64
This vegan version of dark chocolate truffles allows everyone to enjoy an after dinner treat! These can be made a few days ahead of when you need them and stored in the refrigerator or freezer. Helpful Hint: Place a bag of frozen peas or an ice pack wrapped in a cloth to keep your hands cold so the chocolaty goodness does not end up melting as you are handling the chocolate. Chocolate Truffles with #61 Coffee Cocoa or #64 Peach Habanero
This is great make ahead treat that will keep in the fridge or freezer for when you need. Helpful Tip: When you are rolling the chocolaty goodness into truffle balls, keep a bag of frozen peas or ice pack wrapped in a cloth handy. Press your hands on the cloth wrapped frozen pea/ice pack as needed to keep your hands cold and chocolate mixture from melting from the warmth of your hands.
